The supplier module in Service Suite is where you maintain your suppliers. This module is only usable if your supplier(s) uses Service Suite as well. Before you can use this module you must have received a license and an eCommerce catalog from your supplier(s). You can read more about how this is done in the Tips & Tricks section of the purchase orders. The screen is divided into a few sections and looks like this:
As the above illustration shows this module consists of 4 sections.
The icon bar, which contains functions for the selected supplier, there seems to be only one function: "Import eCommerce catalog". This is not quite true as a few extra functions are available when you press the tab: "Inventory". Here you can see the functions available in the icon bar:
In this drop down you can select which supplier to view information's about. This will apply to both the general information's of the supplier as well as the supplier's products.
In the general information's section the name, address and other basic information's about the supplier is displayed. It could look like this:
As shown in the above illustration there is also a tab called: "Inventory". This tab will be explained further below on this page.
This section contains the contact information's provided by your supplier. If your supplier provides this information, you can find relevant contact information's in this list. This section could look like this:
If you have received and imported an eCommerce catalog from your supplier, you can search in your supplier's products by pressing the tab: "Inventory".
As shown in the above illustration you here have the familiar functions for searching in your supplier's products. These are the products that can be inserted on your purchase orders. If you wish to print or export your suppliers products Service Suite contains these functions as well.
At the moment there are no Tips & Tricks about the supplier module, as the functions in this module is very similar to other modules in Service Suite. If you have any ideas for articles that apply to this module we would like to know about it.
