Sometimes you need to know if your supplier has the ordered products in stock, so that these can be delivered on time. This is why Service Suite allows suppliers to make their stock available to their customers if they wish to.

For those of your suppliers that uses this feature in Service Suite, you can check if the products contained in a purchase order are available in your suppliers warehouse.

 Check suppliers stock.

Before you can check you suppliers stock, you must have created a purchase order for your supplier. When this is done you can compare your purchase order to your suppliers stock.

This can be done by selecting the purchase order from the list of purchase orders.

When a purchase order has been selected, the link: "Check suppliers stock" is selected in the icon bar. Alternatively you can right-click on the purchase order in the list, and select this function from the popup menu. Please note that it is only possible to check your suppliers stock for purchase orders that has not been sent. By selecting: "Check suppliers stock", this dialog will be displayed:

In this dialog you can see that the products: "PRN001" and "PRN004" cannot be delivered, and that only 3 pcs. of "TR001" and 5 pcs. of "TR002" can be delivered.

The status of the products depends on the suppliers stock, as well as the settings defined by each individual supplier. In some cases products can be discontinued, and in other cases this dialog will inform you about when the rest of the products can be delivered.

In this example we are a bit out of luck as only very few of our ordered products can be delivered.

The information's in this dialog are only preliminary, which is why the column: "Info. last updated" displays when this information was last updated. Most of the suppliers that choose to publish their stock are updating this information every 5 or 10 minutes.
