The product module in Service Suite is where you maintain your products. Numerous other modules in Service Suite such as the price books, stock count, planning, sales orders etc use the products contained in this module. The screen is divided in a few sections and looks like this:
As the above illustration shows, the product module consists of 5 general sections. From the menu general functions such as: "Prices and discounts", "Print all items", "Import items", "Export all items" and "Delete all items" can be selected.
In the icon bar, which contains product specific functions, you can select functions that only affect selected products. The functions that can be selected are: "Export", "Print", "Prices and discounts", "Hide / Show details", "Delete items" and "Export to bar code reader". These functions are illustrated as show below:
The search bar gives you the opportunity to search in your products. By default no products will be shown in the result list, before you have searched for something.
In this way Service Suite makes it easy to build advanced search expressions. If you e.g. wish to find all your calculators with a sales price below 10, this can easily be done by filling out the search bar as shown below:
You can add as many criteria's as you wish, and by pressing the button: "Search" the results will be displayed in the list below.
The results of your search will be shown in this section. Only products that match your search expression will be shown in this list.
In this list you can select one, or more, products by selecting the checkbox in the left column. When products are selected it is possible to use those selections with the product specific functions from the icon bar, to print, export or delete the selected products. It is also possible to sort the list by clicking on the column headers.
The last section is the details. This section displays the registered data for the product currently selected in the list:
In the details section you can use the tabs to view other information's about your products.
